According to the Complaint, throughout the Class Period, KBR made false and/or misleading statements and/or failed to disclose that the Company’s United Kingdom subsidiaries violated applicable bribery and corruption laws. On April 28, 2017, the United Kingdom’s Serious Fraud Office confirmed that it had opened an investigation into the activities of KBR’s UK subsidiaries for suspected offenses of bribery and corruption. Upon release of this information, KBR shares fell in value materially, which caused investors harm according to the Complaint.
