‘Inhumans’ is an upcoming superhero television series developed for ABC. It is based on the characters from the original comic books of the same name. Recently released on-set photographs reveal the first look at the various main characters of the show including Medusa and Maximus and also tease the connection with another ABC series, Marvel’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’
The first two episodes of the eight-episode first season is expected to debut in IMAX theaters for two whole weeks before premiering on September this year. The series is currently filming in Hawaii, allowing for a steady set of behind-the-scenes photographs to be released. Reel News Hawaii has been documenting production and has released a number of on-set photographs on social media.
According to Comicbook.com, Serinda Swan’s Medusa has been spotted in one of the photographs taken during a day shoot that featured a scene of the Royals’ entrance. Medusa’s signature purple dress and flaming red hair stood out among the sea of other extras despite the top shot from far-away.
Medusa wasn’t the only spotted that day. Joining Medusa in the photograph was Iwan Rheon’s Maximus, Sonya Balmores’ Auran, and Anson Mount as Black Bolt. Judging by the image, it seems that Auran is leading Medusa and Black Bolt through a crowd towards a massive centerpiece.
The Inhuman Royal Family was introduced in the second season of ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ It seems that more on-set photographs revealed the connection between the two shows, according to Moviepilot. A mysterious giant monolith covered in markings appeared on the Hawaii set of the upcoming live-action adaptation, baffling several residents of the area. It was speculated that this statue hinted the link between ‘SHIELD’ and ‘Inhumans.’
‘Inhumans’ is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and shares continuity with the films and television series in the franchise. It is scheduled to air on ABC on September 26, 2017 and will consist of eight episodes.
