U.S. Vice President JD Vance and his wife, Usha Vance, have announced that they are expecting their fourth child, a baby boy, who is due to arrive in July. The news was shared in a joint statement released on Tuesday and quickly drew attention across social media and major news outlets.
Usha Vance revealed the pregnancy on the second lady’s official X account, where she confirmed that both she and the baby are doing well. In their statement, the couple expressed gratitude and optimism as they prepare to welcome another member into their growing family. They highlighted the support they have received during this time, particularly from military medical professionals.
“During this exciting and hectic time, we are particularly grateful for the military doctors who take excellent care of our family and for the staff members who do so much to ensure that we can serve the country while enjoying a wonderful life with our children,” the Vances said. The message underscored the balance they strive to maintain between public service and family life.
JD Vance, who is an Ohio native, and Usha Vance met while studying at Yale Law School. Both graduated in 2013, and their partnership has continued to grow both personally and professionally since then. Usha Vance is the daughter of Indian immigrants, a background that has often been noted as part of the couple’s diverse family story.
The Vances are already parents to three children. Their first son, Ewan, was born in 2017. He was followed by their second son, Vivek, who arrived in 2020. In 2021, the couple welcomed their daughter, Mirabel. The expected arrival of their fourth child will further expand their family as JD Vance continues his role as vice president.
The announcement has generated widespread interest, reflecting public curiosity about the personal lives of national leaders. As July approaches, many will be watching with well wishes for the Vance family as they prepare to welcome their newest addition.
