Jungkook is now a certified YouTube star as it was reported that searches on his name and BTS average at least 67 million per month. YouTube is currently the biggest video-sharing site in the world, and the platform is being used to boost the popularity of most artists, especially the Kpop idols.
It was reported that vidIQ, the views tracking that records the number of views and subscribers of channels and videos posted on YouTube, recently revealed the list of top 20 K-pop keywords for this year and BTS topped the list.
Jungkook’s ranking on YouTube search
Among the members of the now world-famous boy band, Jungkook placed no. 1 as the most searched star on YouTube. His name is currently the hottest, which means his name is always trending in the video-sharing platform.
It was noted that BTS’s fourth album titled “Map of the Soul: Persona” that was released in April is among the clips that have been viewed many times, this April. The album’s title track, “Boy With Luv,” that featured the American singer Halsey gathered 74.6 million views in just 24 hours, and this is a groundbreaking achievement.
Aside from BTS and Jungkook, the most searched Kpop groups on YouTube based on the survey of vidIQ include BlackPink, EXO, GOT7, Stray Kids, Red Velvet, TWICE, Izone, Monsta X, TXT and EXID. Apparently, these groups have established a solid presence in the popular platform.
Jungkook’s achievement with “Euphoria”
Jungkook proved his amazing popularity when aside from being YouTube’s most-searched Kpop star, Allkpop reported that his track titled "Euphoria" already sold more than 200,000 units in the US. An additional digital 15,000 copies were also sold within the first week of its release.
Moreover, in the U.S., Jungkook’s song ranks 12th in the list of bestselling tracks while in Canada, it placed 19th. Globally, “Euphoria” is at no. 2 for songs with the highest number of sales. Late last year, Billboard’s World Digital Songs chart revealed that the BTS youngest member’s track was on the top 10.
Meanwhile, BTS is currently continuing their “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” world tour, and they are touring Asian countries after completing performances in the U.S.
