KFC has a new business, and it is unexpected. The fried chicken chain has entered the perfume business and released a scent inspired by a favorite menu item.
KFC introduced its first-ever perfume, the "No. 11 Eau de BBQ." The New York Post reported the fragrance is an original recipe that can make one go hungry with the scent.
Availability and Price
While the KFC fast-food chain is an American brand, its new No. 11 Eau de BBQ perfume will only be sold in the United Kingdom. A red and black bottle of 100 ml. KFC perfume is sold at the market for just $13.82 at KFC's official online shop in the U.K.
KFC noted that it sells the fragrance cheaper than the restaurant's 5-piece tenders meal. The company previously released a fire log that smells like chicken and also rolled out a fragrance in Spain, but in comparison, the new Eau de BBQ is nothing like that. Some reviewers even said that if not for the KFC logo on the label, anyone may mistake the perfume for a high-end brand of fragrance.
Instead of the smell of meat cooking on the grill, KFC's No. 11 Eau de BBQ was described as a premium fragrance with a shockingly muskier scent than expected. The product was even compared to Tom Ford's wood-smoke scents, which cost $250.
Very Limited-Time Offer
According to U.K.'s Mirror, the new KFC perfume is one-of-a-kind—something that would leave a person craving barbecues. The chain said that the perfumes would only be sold while supplies last. Once the stocks run out, they will never be released again.
"The lingering base notes create a woody, earthy foundation that promises to make your mouth water for the taste of BBQ," KFC said. "But No 11 is more than just a fragrance - it is a celebration of flavor."
Phoebe Syms, KFC&I's brand manager, added, "At KFC, we are all about thinking outside the box, so, naturally, when we created a burger so irresistible, we had to bottle it! Behold, No 11 Eau de BBQ – capturing the mouth-watering scent of our brand-new Ultimate BBQ burger, which allows you to sizzle with every spritz."
