There are many things to be excited about in “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2. It is a given that the will-they-won’t-they plot between main protagonists Miyuki and Kaguya will remain the central story of the series. But the addition of new characters will also expand the horizon of other main characters such as Yu Ishigami.
‘Kaguya-sama: Love Is War’ season 2 spoilers: Will there be a budding romance between Yu Ishigami and Miko Iino?
Miko Iino will be one of the new faces that will frequently appear in “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2. While Miko’s introduction will be tied to Miyuki because they are rivals in the student council president position, she will later become a character attached to Ishigami’s development.
The first season established Ishigami as somewhat the opposite of the personalities of Kaguya and Miyuki. But his somber personality balances the dynamic of the four characters, including Chika. While some anime fans may have started to ship Ishigami and Chika together, the arrival of Miko in “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2 could slightly change that.
Miko and Ishigami will share a cat and mouse kind of relationship in “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2. But the next events might also show them slowly share some tender moments together that would suggest Miko is going to be the official love interest for Ishigami.
However, fans who have been following the manga series will agree that it is too early to conclude that Miko is going to be Ishigami’s official romantic interest. In the events that could be covered in “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2 or latter installments, there will be other characters who will become close to Ishigami. But, until now, the endgame in Ishigami’s love story is not settled yet even in the manga series.
‘Kaguya-sama: Love Is War’ season 2 release date
Ishigami and Miko’s upcoming back-and-forth as student council officers will certainly add a new dimension to look forward to in “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2. Luckily, fans will only have to wait a few more months for the new episodes to arrive. Season 2 is confirmed to premiere in April.
