One of the beauties of Aka Akasaka’s series is that the supporting characters are given equally interesting stories that parallel with the main storyline concerning Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane. “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2 will further prove that, especially with the introduction of new recurring characters – one of them will appear to have a thing for Yu Ishigami.
Yu is one of the more mysterious characters in the first season. But just like in the manga series, the addition of Miko Iino in the characters commonly seen in the student council office will somehow help in revealing more depth in Yu’s character in “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2.
‘Kaguya-sama: Love Is War’ season 2 spoilers: Yu and Miko – a new matchup?
Fans may have noticed in the first promo video of “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2 that the current student council officers are facing quite a dilemma with Miyuki’s contender. After several attempts to defeat the president, Miko comes close to gaining enough votes. After losing, though, she gets an invitation to join one of the student council committees, and fans can expect her to share some cute moments with Yu.
Yu and Miko attend the same class, and they will be obliged to work together more frequently as the latter becomes the student council auditor in “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2. In the manga, Miko sees Yu as being lazy, and the two often do not see eye to eye. However, one of the school events likely to be featured in season 2 – the Cultural Festival – will show their potential to be one of the future love teams in the anime.
It is unlikely for the Yu and Miko to officially become a couple in “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2, though. Even in the manga, the story will offer other possibilities when it comes to Yu’s love interest.
‘Kaguya-sama: Love Is War’ season 2 release date
The manga series where “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2 is based is one of the more popular titles in the market. Even if it took some months for the anime’s renewal to be announced, it was not surprising that it is getting another installment. The second season is confirmed to premiere sometime in April.
