Video game fans who have been anticipating the release of “Kingdom Hearts 3” will be glad to know that all the waiting is going to be worth it. A Square Enix representative recently confirmed that the game’s contents — main campaign plus side missions and mini-games — will need more than 80 hours to complete.
“Kingdom Hearts 3” is regarded as the conclusion to the franchise that made the worlds of “Final Fantasy,” Disney, and Pixar stories collide. Like in the previous titles in the series, players can still expect the appearance of so many well-loved characters from these studios.
All these characters are housed in various worlds and stages that are ultimately connected to one another. As one would expect, there are intricate stories and challenges set for every stage of “Kingdom Hearts 3.” The same Square Enix rep reportedly told Geek.com earlier this month that the main campaign alone would take between 40 to 50 hours to finish.
Meanwhile, exciting challenges also await players in the side missions and mini-games of “Kingdom Hearts 3.” In fact, there are some mini-game stages that exclusively contain fan-favorite Disney Pixar characters like, for example, “Ratatouille”-themed content.
One of the latest trailers previews Sora being guided by the rat and amazing cook named Remy. Combining the main campaign story and all other mini-games in “Kingdom Hearts 3,” developers say that players will be needing more than 80 hours to finish the game.
Many Disney Pixar characters have now been confirmed to be in “Kingdom Hearts 3” and will be seen in their own worlds based on their movie stories. For example, there is a stage simple called Arendelle, or the icy kingdom in “Frozen.” There, Sora, Donald, and Goofy will be meeting Queen Elsa, Princess Anna, Kristoff, Sven, and Olaf.
“Kingdom Hearts 3” was supposed to hit the shelves this year. However, developers confirmed during the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2018 that there is one last delay (hopefully), pushing the “Kingdom Hearts 3” release to Jan. 29, 2019. The game will be available on the PS4 and Xbox One.
