LG Uplus Corp has collaborated with Hyundai Elevator Co. to launch MIRI View, a state-of-the-art AI safety system for elevator passengers. By leveraging AI-powered CCTV technology, the system swiftly detects emergencies, aiding in bolstering elevator safety measures.
LG Uplus has developed a monitor-based application, a customer center viewer, AI CCTV equipment, and access to its LTE network for this project. When an emergency arises in an elevator, an AI-based CCTV recognizes it and notifies Hyundai Elevator's customer center and the elevator safety manager of any potential hazards and the elevator's location and interior video.
The two businesses have worked together to develop the system since January. This is just the beginning; the two companies have plans to expand this awesome service's coverage to elevators equipped with Hyundai Elevator's advanced maintenance and management service MIRI, which was released earlier this month.
MIRI View uses cutting-edge AI-based CCTV to keep passengers safe while riding elevators. It analyzes the passenger's movements and even their voices to detect signs of danger and alerts customer centers and elevator safety managers instantly in case of an emergency.
LG Uplus has taken this technology to the next level, introducing a monitor-based application and a customer center viewer, in addition to providing the necessary AI CCTV equipment and access to its LTE network to Hyundai Elevator, which oversees sales, installation, and service operation. Additionally, they plan to expand the service's coverage to include elevators that are equipped with Hyundai Elevator's advanced maintenance and management service, MIRI.
Hyundai Elevator launched MIRI, which it says reflects the company's commitment to providing the best customer satisfaction, last June 1. CEO Cho Jae-cheon and 400 employees attended the launch event at Hyundai Elevator's smart campus in Chungju, North Chungcheong Province. The event's attractions included an introduction to the MIRI service with a speech of congratulations, robot delivery demonstrations, and interactive experience areas.
