‘Legion’ season 1’s episode 4, titled “Chapter 4,” will feature David as he continues to struggle with control of his own mind. It is possible that he may lose control completely unless Syd manages to find critical answers to rescue him.
The brief synopsis for episode 4 posted on TV Guide states, “David (Dan Stevens) faces trouble as his friends search for answers.”
The previous episode explored more of David’s mental state as things became more complicated as well as dangerous for himself and everyone involved, according to the recap of “Chapter 3” posted on TV Line.
In the episode, David continues memory work with child prodigy and memory artist Ptonomy Wallace (Jeremie Harris) and psychiatric therapist Melanie Bird (Jean Smart) in attempts to recall events prior to his admission to Clockworks.
The three are taken to a memory of turmoil in the kitchen, where Bird realizes that David is not only a powerful telepath but is also gifted with the power of telekinesis. They dive deeper into previous events as David is haunted by apparitions.
Despite making some progress, Bird decides to sedate David in order gain more access to his mind and explore it more freely. However, David becomes trapped in his own mind and things eventually spiral out of control. It seems that David may have been resisting their intrusion for their own protection.
The upcoming episode will follow David’s continuing battle with his own psyche. It seems that the sedative led to some severe consequences, risking David to lose control of his mind. Syd (Rachel Keller) will have to do everything she can to find answers to rescue David from his current predicament and ensure that he doesn’t lose his mind completely.
‘Legion’ season 1’s episode 4, titled “Chapter 4,” is scheduled to air on March 1, 2017 on FX. It was directed by Larysa Kondracki and written by Nathaniel Halpern. It will be followed by episode 5, titled “Chapter 5,” directed by Tim Mielants and scheduled to be released on March 8.
