Lori Loughlin has been in the headlines for most of 2019 as she and her husband Mossimo Giannulli were accused of bribing people to get their two daughters to be accepted at the University of Southern California. The couple was said to have paid $500,000 in the school admission scandal that also involved another Hollywood personality, Felicity Huffman.
Lori Loughlin faced many years of prison time but this can be lowered if they will maintain their not guilty plea. Now, as the actress and her husband were already locked up in prison for their offense, it was reported that Lori is really worried that she will lose her fortune while behind bars.
Stashing money away to save her fortune?
As per the National Enquirer, as the actress is getting paranoid over the possibility of losing her millions, she planned to tuck away her $90 million fortune in a secret place. The tabloid further claimed that Lori Loughlin is going berserk over her prison time. She keeps thinking that she and her husband would be in ruins once they leave to serve their sentence.
It is not just her finances that she is worried about, but she is also afraid that her marriage will be over once they step inside the jail. In short, the 56-year-old “Fuller House” star is having a mental breakdown because of what is up ahead for her - the jail time.
“Lori and Mossimo privately accept they’ll be going away for a spell, and they’re each freaking out in their own ways,” an insider supposedly told the National Enquirer. "They were doing everything they can to retain control of their own finances, which is ultimately within their rights even if it does seem sketchy."
The truth
Gossip Cop declared that there is no truth in the claims that Lori Loughlin is afraid she will lose her money while locked up in jail. It is also not true that she is getting paranoid and has been trying to hide her $90 million to protect her fortune.
The publication pointed out that Lori Loughlin is a veteran actress who has been in Hollywood for a long time, thus she can’t be worrying about her finances as she has surely prepared before she left to serve her penalty. Besides, both Lori and Mossimo will only be imprisoned for two and five months, respectively. Nothing much could happen in this period, especially if their two daughters are around.
