“Lost in Space” season 2 is one of the most anticipated returning shows on Netflix. The producers are still mum about its release date, but fans could gather enough clues to get the best estimate on its premiere. The Robinsons are also off to a new planet or galaxy, but it does not seem like they will be alone in the new environment as new characters are going to be added in the cast as well.
Fans may not know yet the exact release date of “Lost in Space” season 2 but one possibility is that the series will return in fall. Before coming up to this speculation, it is important to note that actor Maxwell Jenkins, who plays Will Robinson, confirmed in early February that they have wrapped up filming in Vancouver.
It was apparently the last stop for the production of “Lost in Space” season 2 that also filmed in locations in Iceland and Alberta starting in September 2018. Meanwhile, it can be recalled that the first season of the show premiered on Netflix nine months after the production concluded.
Netflix is known for keeping a regular premiere date cycle on most of its original series. While “Lost in Space” season 2 missed the show’s one-year mark last Saturday, there is a chance that Netflix would keep the same nine-month period for post-production and marketing of the second installment.
However, it is also important to note that “Lost in Space” season 2 filmed in two new locations because it is going to introduce a new primary setting. So there is also a possibility that adding a new planet to the show could take much longer to perfect in post-production. Considering that Netflix has also not yet announced a 2019 placeholder date for the show, a premiere in the last quarter of the year might also not happen.
