McDonald's has launched two new menu items: the Kit Kat Banana Split McFlurry and the Smoky BLT Quarter Pounder. The McFlurry, featuring vanilla soft serve, bananas, strawberry clusters, and Kit Kat wafers, and the Quarter Pounder, with a smoky BLT twist, are available nationwide starting July 10.
McDonald's Launches Kit Kat Banana Split McFlurry, Latest in Confectionery Collaborations, Available July 10
As Today reported, McDonald's introduced a new McFlurry flavor on July 8: Kit Kat Banana Split. The new flavor is the most recent in a series of ice-cold collaborations between the chain and confectionery industry giants. The menu also includes Oreo and M&M varieties.
The Kit Kat Banana Split McFlurry is a delectable dessert that includes the restaurant's renowned vanilla soft serve, strawberry clusters, genuine bananas, and crunchy Kit Kat wafer bars. While supplies last, the confection is available at participating locations nationwide beginning July 10 for a limited time.
Although McDonald's does not frequently introduce new frozen treat flavors, in May, fans were also treated to the Grandma McFlurry, which boasted "a delicious syrup" and chopped, crunchy candy pieces. One customer described the flavor as reminiscent of butterscotch.
Peanut Butter Crunch, which was a customer favorite in 2023, and strawberry shortcake are other past varieties.
Smoky BLT Quarter Pounder Returns to McDonald’s Menu July 10, Featuring Classic Ingredients and New Garlic Sauce
Furthermore, McDonald's announcement verified the return of its Smoky BLT Quarter Pounder with Cheese (QPC), which will be available on menus beginning July 10. It is also available without cheese, and individuals who desire a more abundant serving of beef can order a double.
This burger was initially introduced in 2022, and its most recent incarnation is equipped with a quarter-pound beef patty, two slices of American cheese, three half-strips of thick-cut applewood-smoked bacon, three tomatoes, shredded lettuce, and BLT Sauce. It is served on a toasted sesame seed bun. McDonald's reports that the sauce is seasoned with black pepper, parsley, and paprika, and it has a "lingering smokiness."
For a limited time, the Smoky BLT Quarter Pounder will be accessible at participating restaurants across the country, with or without cheese, while supplies last.
McDonald's has consistently introduced new menu products throughout the year. The company recently launched its Special Grade Garlic Sauce, which is modeled after McDonald's Japan's Black Garlic Sauce. The company claims that it is the "first garlic sauce ever" to be featured on the U.S. menu.
The restaurant has also formally entered the value battles with its $5 Meal Deal, joining a plethora of other chains that are attempting to attract customers by offering more affordable meals. The bundle, which was released on June 25, comprises four items: a McChicken or McDouble, four chicken nuggets, potatoes, and a beverage.
