McDonald’s introduces its Remix Menu in partnership with Lil Yachty, a former crew member of the chain who is now a chart-topper in the field of music. The American rapper and songwriter teamed up with the restaurant to create his very own remix of the original 1989 McDonald's Menu Song.
Remix of McDonald’s Song and Menu
Lil Yachty’s new take on the track brings back the iconic anthem that McDonald’s customers and fans loved. The song also honors the fast-food chain’s classic and new menu items in Canada.
ComicBook says McDonald's is mixing things up to add a creative touch to its cheeseburgers. On Tuesday, April 2, the restaurant finally created a new menu that will be available for a limited time.
New Food Items to Try in Canada
McDonald's Remix Menu includes four new items: the Surf 'N Turf Burger, Chicken Cheeseburger, Sweet Chili Junior Chicken, and Apple Pie McFlurry. All of these will be available in the stores only until April 29.
"We hope these new takes on the McDonald's Menu Song, brought to life by Lil Yachty and Mike Clay, will evoke the excitement Canadians felt for McDonald's the first time they heard the song, and look forward to introducing it to a new generation of fans,” McDonald’s Canada’s chief marketing officer, Alyssa Buetikofer, said in a press release. “It is also a celebration of the love Canadians have for our iconic menu items."
Lil Yachty also said, "Going from working at a McDonald's in Atlanta to collaborating on the Remix Menu Song with McDonald's Canada is a wild full circle moment that brought back memories and is such a reminder that anything in life can happen."
