Moreover, many of those who viewed the footage immediately assumed that the fast-food restaurant has installed the exercise bile to help customers burn the calories they will gain from eating burgers, fries, sundaes, and more.
In the TikTok video that has since gone viral online, a McDonald's outlet can be seen with a row of exercise bikes. One of the customers that are clearly visible in the video has been chomping on a burger and drinking her beverage while exercising. The stationary bike was built with a countertop table so the foods were placed there.
As of this time, the video that was posted by cris13yu already racked up over 32 million views and more than 38,000 comments. Many health-conscious people like McDonald's idea and they were really impressed with the concept. It is easy to see why - they can enjoy fast food and also workout at the same time.
In any case, according to News18, the video is still unverified but some Twitter users who shared the video are saying it is a McDonald's outlet located in Shanghai. While there are claims like this, publications still noted that there is no official confirmation yet if the video was really taken at a McDonald's branch in the said Chinese region. Thus, the exact location is technically, still unknown.
"This is like using your phone while charging," The Daily Mail quoted one of the commenters as saying while another one called the particular McDonald's outlet "McFitness." Finally, there are also comments that said the exercise bike is not enough as there are still more calories consumed than burned. This is because a Big Mac meal has 1,080 calories and a short stay at the store will not be enough to burn it all.
