Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Reportedly Pick George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin to Be Their First-Born’s Godparents

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry reportedly picked A-list couple George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin to be their first baby’s godparents. Of course, the Clooneys are just one of the pairs but the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not yet chosen the rest so the two are the first ones to be revealed.

It is not a secret that Harry and Meghan have a very close relationship with George and Amal so it is no wonder that they were included in the list of godparents-to-be for their first child. The Clooneys were also invited to the royal wedding in May so their ties are undeniable.

The Daily Mail reported that George Clooney was actually already expecting to be invited by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to be a godfather. It was said that the actor has a “strong hunch” that along with his wife, they will be included as one of the newest royal godparents.

At any rate, Meghan Markle is rumored to be giving birth to twins. People have even started to make bets about it because it will be a big event if the Duchess of Sussex is really giving birth to not one but two kids next year.

The British Royal family has no records of twin birth in the last 500 years so the commoners think that it is about time for the royal family to have another set of twin babies. This is being taken seriously as the number of bettors has surged according to Celebrity Insider so the betting company had to stop the wagers now.

In a statement, the spokesperson of Paddy Power said, “An unprecedented amount of bets on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to have twins forced us to stop taking any more bets on the market altogether.”

Meanwhile, Meghan Markle is predicted to give birth in early April 2019.
