Compared to her predecessors, Melania Trump is a First Lady who known for being very private about her life and is only often seen accompanying her husband Donald Trump to presidential events and gatherings. So it bears wondering what the First Lady does on a regular day and several reports shed light on her everyday routine.
Melania reportedly wakes up a little past 5:30 in the morning, around the same time Donald wakes up for the day. She gets their son Barron Trump ready for school, preparing what he needs for the day as well as checking if he did his homework if he had any. When it comes to Barron, Melania is hands-on and personally attends his school events as much as possible. After her errands, she takes some time to squeeze in her workouts, doing pilates, ankle-weights and other low-impact exercises that she does on the third floor of the White House.
As far as her diet is concerned, Melania maintains her supermodel figure by only eating seven pieces of fruit a day, as well as a smoothie and some oatmeal with spices but she sometimes indulges in chocolate and ice cream.
Because Melania is always keen on looking her best, it takes her an hour and 15 minutes to get dolled up by her team in the glam room of the White House. Once she is ready, she attends the meetings in the East Wing, discussing her initiatives and campaigns like the opioid crisis and her anti-bullying campaign called Be Best. Part of her job as First Lady is also organizing White House events such as the state dinner and the annual Easter Egg Roll.
While that is part of her everyday routine, this year will be different as CNN reports that Melania will be actively campaigning for her husband in his reelection campaign. She is already up for hosting two fundraiser events in March for the Trump Victory Fund, which supports both the Trump 2020 Campaign and the Republican National Committee. Although this is not new for First Ladies to be actively supporting their husbands on their electoral campaigns, what has everyone’s attention is that Melania will be present more compared to Donald’s 2016 campaign when First Daughter Ivanka Trump stepped up on her behalf.
