Melania Trump was bashed and harsh comments were posted on social media. This comes after she revealed the Christmas tree that will be set up in the White House for the coming holidays this year.
On Nov. 23, she tweeted that since 1966, the arrival of the Christmas Tree at the White House has become a tradition. She added that for this year, they are installing an 18 1/2 foot Fraser Fir tree from Dan and Bryan’s freshly cut trees that came all the way from West Virginia.
The mean comments on Malania’s Christmas decor update
Melania Trump only intends to let her followers know about her plans for the decorations that will make the White House look aptly festive for Christmas. However, she received various comments and a number of them were negative ones.
The harshest words the First Lady got were messages telling her not to bother decorating the official presidential anymore because she is leaving anyway. Some also directly told her to just pack up and go instead of going through the trouble of putting up a Christmas tree at the WH.
“Just leave already,” one Twitter user posted. “We don’t need any phony sentiments about Xmas from you. Bye!”
Another one wrote, “Time to pack, you need not bother yourself with Christmas at the WH. You have a lot of packing to do and you always spend Christmas at Mar-a-Lago so just go.”
Melania’s secret tapes big reveal
Express reported that the tapes that were secretly recorded by Stephanie Winston Wolkoff also contributed heavily to the backlash the FLOTUS received for decorating the WH for Christmas. The conversation between the First Lady and her former friend includes a line where she seemingly expressed her annoyance at having to decorate for the holidays.
“I’m working my ass off on the Christmas stuff, who gives a f*** about the Christmas stuff and decorations?” Trump allegedly said in the tape. “But I need to do it, right?”
Thus, many of the comments mocked Melania Trump. They told her to just stop pretending and give up the Christmas decorating since they already know she hates it.
Meanwhile, it appears that Melania Trump has brushed off the mean comments and just went on with her tasks. In fact, she just tweeted a few hours ago that the Christmas tree has finally arrived and added they are excited to start decorating for the holidays.
