Kelly Clarkson has no reason to return to Los Angeles after relocating to New York City. The "American Idol" alum packed her talk show studio and transferred to the Big Apple, where she now hosts her daytime show.
Kelly Clarkson Is Not Returning to Los Angeles Anytime Soon
The "Because of You" hitmaker's move to New York to be closer to her loved ones cast doubts on her future as a coach on "The Voice," which is filmed in Los Angeles. In a new interview, Clarkson seemingly hinted that she is done spinning on her chair for the hit American singing reality competition television series.
"I've learned a lot about what I'm capable of handling, and also what you should not handle. That was me saying 'bye' to The Voice and having this big move," Clarkson divulged to USA Today. "I love that family, but I was like, 'I'm struggling. I can't smile anymore. I don't feel like smiling,'" she went on.
Most, if not all, fans are aware that Clarkson has a long connection with "The Voice," dating back to Season 2 when she served as Blake Shelton's advisor. The "Piece by Piece" songstress returned as an advisor to all the coaches in Season 13. She became an official coach in Season 14 and remained so until Season 2.
Clarkson took a break before returning to Season 23, which premiered earlier this year. "The Voice" Season 24 currently airs on NBC with Reba McEntire, John Legend, One Direction member Niall Horan and Gwen Stefani.
"The Voice" Season 25, which is slated to air sometime in 2024, already has Reba and John returning to the revolving coach chairs. Chance the Rapper is also returning as coach, with Dan + Shay joining the lineup as the first coaching duo.
Kelly Clarkson Divulges Plans to Be in Montana Before NYC Move
Meanwhile, Clarkson previously divulged what state she was considering moving to before she packed her bags for New York. "I really wanted to be in Montana, but you can't really do a show from there quite yet. So I was like, 'The only other option would probably be New York,'" she said, as per Fox News.
"At this point, I'm 40 years old. Mama rented something nice! I was like, 'I'm not living here unless it's right by the park and really nice for the kids,'" Clarkson added. The "Breakaway" singer's latest move comes after her divorce from Brandon Blackstock.
