Ever since news about Netflix thinking of doing a second season of the “Gilmore Girls” revival series, fans are clamoring for more details about the show’s return ever since Rory (Alexis Bledel) told a newly-married Lorelai (Lauren Graham) about her pregnancy.
But if there’s one piece of detail that fans will not like, is if we’ll see more of Jess (played by Milo Ventimiglia). The actor, who currently stars in the NBC drama hit “This Is Us” recently told USA Today that he is done with “Gilmore Girls.”
Ventimiglia explained, "There are more stories to tell with a lot of these characters, but at the same time some of these characters for some of us actors are more than a decade in the past. It was exciting going back to Gilmore Girls for the four Netflix movies, but I'm satisfied with it. I think the stories were told. I think it was great for the audience and fans to get just one small taste of that world again. But, at the same time, I think people should not get so greedy."
Any any “Gilmore Girls” fan would know, Jess has been a solid Rory supporter, especially about her novel. We also saw Jess did a vague "if only" gaze through the Gilmore Girls’ window, and it would be interesting if his career as a publisher will help Rory finally get that novel officially published.
On the other hand, show creator Amy Sherman-Palladino might have that power to convince Ventimiglia to portray his character again. She told an entertainment site last year, “When people were talking about a “Gilmore” movie [after the original series ended] I was always like, “That’s not going to happen.” But I wasn’t going to say no. Because why say no to anything?”
