Modern Crew and Levi's, two iconic brands, are taking bold steps toward sustainability. The former introduces a new collection featuring bamboo fabric, offering superior moisture control and natural anti-odor properties, while Levi's unveils plant-based 501 jeans.
Modern Crew, a men's innerwear and loungewear brand, has recently launched an exciting collection featuring eco-friendly bamboo fabric. The brand aims to address the fashion industry's pollution issue by introducing bamboo, which is not only naturally anti-odor but also outperforms cotton by 40% when exposed to moisture. The newly released collection, including their Bamboo Men's Vests, could be purchased through the Modern Crew website.
The co-founders of Modern Crew, Shivesh Verma and Saurabh Bisht, expressed their enthusiasm about the new range of men's vests and pajamas in the loungewear category. Crafted from bamboo fabric, this collection caters to the modern men of today who value premium comfort with an elegant aesthetic.
They emphasized that sustainability is not merely a passing trend but rather our responsibility to protect the planet and future generations. Through their brand, they strive to create fashion-forward garments that prioritize eco-friendly materials.
In line with efforts to enhance sustainability, Levi's has introduced a plant-based version of their iconic 501 jeans. These jeans are made up of at least 97% plant-based materials, including certified organic cotton, natural dyestuff, a plant-based patch, and ink derived from wood waste.
According to Levi's, these innovative jeans will be available in late summer 2023 and offer a glimpse into the future of the industry as the demand grows to reduce synthetic materials derived from fossil fuels and shift towards renewable inputs.
Levi's is also presenting a hemp/cotton blend, Selvedge 501, building on their previous success with customized hemp through their Wellthread line. These jeans will be offered throughout the year in various colors and finishes for both men and women, featuring some options with natural dyes.
Additionally, as part of their 150th-anniversary celebration, Levi's is recognizing the Circular 501 jeans, which were initially released last year. These jeans are constructed from organic cotton and Renewcell's Circulose fiber, along with viscose derived from recycled denim and other textile waste.
These developments represent Levi's commitment to design innovation, setting the stage for the brand's future collections. Overall, Modern Crew and Levi's are setting remarkable examples in the industry, showcasing how fashion can evolve by embracing sustainability and responsible practices.
