If there is one thing that Nicole Kidman is fearing about her husband Keith Urban, it is him losing his sobriety. She doesn’t want him to relapse and go back to his old ways because that would not just ruin their marriage but his life too.
Keith Urban has been open about his drug addiction and he is proud that he was able to get out of it. He has been sober for years now and Nicole Kidman played a big role in his sobriety. But then, it was reported that the “Moulin Rouge” actress is afraid that her husband will be tempted again once he starts his Las Vegas residency.
Keith Urban relapsing after a decade of sobriety?
As per NW Magazine, the country singer may have been drug-free for more than a decade now but Nicole Kidman is really anxious because he could give in to temptations. She is especially worried as her husband is touring in Sin City.
“Temptation is everywhere in Vegas and she’s seen him relapse so she knows it could happen again,” the tipster told the magazine. “She’s urged him to turn down the residency offer, but Keith told her she was being ridiculous.”
Now, the source stated that the couple’s conflict about his has caused tension and strained their relationship. With that, Nicole Kidman now feels that she can’t trust her husband.
“Nobody would be surprised if she accompanied him to every show or hired a sober coach to keep an eye on Keith. She is doing this because she is taking this issue seriously.”
It was added that Nicole Kidman is worried because Keith Urban had an episode of relapse before and he was even admitted to a rehab. This happened not once although he has been sober for years now.
The Truth
It was said that there is no truth in this story that was published by Australia’s NW magazine. Gossip Cop was able to speak with Nicole Kidman’s rep and the publication learned that this is indeed a false report.
The actress’ side has denied she is concerned over Keith Urban’s relapse because her husband has been very honest with her. He has been “clean” since coming out from a relapse in 2006.
