Nintendo console gamers have a lot to look forward to this year. Here are some of the exciting titles that will be making their way to the Switch console.
‘Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX’
“Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX” is a remake of the 2005 video “Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team” developed by Spike Chunsoft and published by The Pokémon Company. Players will control a Pokémon and build up their own team by recruiting other monsters. The turn-based strategy combat should “Fire Emblem” or “Advance Wars.” The game will be released to the console on March 6, 2020, according to Digital Trends.
‘Animal Crossing: New Horizons’
Another Nintendo title that will be will be making its debut on the Switch console this year is “Animal Crossing: New Horizons.” This is a Switch-exclusive game that’s part of the Animal Crossing series.
Players will find themselves on a deserted island and set their paradise-building skills to work. They can collect items from the environment, plant flowers and build their dream home. The life simulation game will arrive on the Nintendo Switch console on March 20, 2020.
‘Gods & Monsters’
Another upcoming Nintendo Switch game to watch for is Ubisoft’s “Gods & Monster.” It is described as a mythical role-playing game set in the picturesque Island of the Blessed. Players will be tasked with saving the Greek gods and will be up against various monsters and powerful mythical creatures. There is no announced definite release date but it’s expected to arrive this year or early 2021.
‘Axiom Verge 2’
For fans of the Metroidvania subgenre of action games, the title to watch out for is “Axiom Verge 2.” The game is developed and produced by Thomas Happ Games and is the sequel to the original “Axiom Verge” released in 2015.
In the original game, players will control Trace, who is injured and suddenly finds himself in an ancient and high-tech world upon waking up. There is no official release date yet but Polygon reported that the title will be coming out sometime in 2020.
‘Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise’
For those who love detective work, “Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise” is the game to watch out for. Developed by Toybox Inc. and published by Rising Star Games, gamers play as an FBI agent sent out to investigate a mysterious murder case in New Orleans. The title will arrive on the Nintendo Switch console in 2020, though a specific date has not yet been announced.
