Netflix confirmed “Ozark” season 4 and it was also mentioned that his will be the series final run. Fans were hoping it could stay for a few more seasons but it cannot be extended anymore as the story of Marty and Wendy Byrde can only go up to here.
Season 4 details
The show’s renewal was announced a bit late but they gave out many details about “Ozark” season 4. Firstly, it was revealed that this will be the longest season as it will offer a total of 14 episodes instead of the usual 10.
They said that these will be divided into two parts so probably, there will be a break after the seventh episode. When the next half returns, that will be the official conclusion of the series.
Chris Mundy, the series’ showrunner expressed happiness upon receiving the new order from Netflix. Although the drama is ending, he said that it is still a happy event as they were given one more chance to run their drama.
“We’re so happy Netflix recognized the importance of giving ‘Ozark’ more time to end the Byrdes’ saga right,” Variety quoted Mundy as saying. “It’s been such a great adventure for all of us both on-screen and off so we’re thrilled to get the chance to bring it home in the most fulfilling way possible.”
What to expect
“Ozark” season 4 is the last story and at this point, the Byrde family is already deeply involved in the criminal world. It will be hard for them to get out now so even if they want to run away, they will be in danger.
Regardless, it was predicted that many will die in “Ozark” season 4 and this may include Marty and Wendy. This is because they have made many enemies already and have associated themselves with dangerous people so this is a possibility.
But then again, Express suggested that things can still turn out well for Wendy, Marty and the rest of their family. The publication wrote that it is true that many will die but these could be mostly the bad guys or the villains that had made the Byrde’s family a mess.
