The PGA Tour has inked a multi-year partnership making Kowa’s Vantelin brand its official pain relief gel, cream, patch, and tape of its US-based golf tour, and PGA Tour Champions veterans circuit.
The deal makes Kowa the first official marketing partner of the PGA Tour in Japan.
Tiger Woods and Collin Morikawa, two prominent golfers, are currently on Kowa's list of individual ambassadors. With the help of the new relationship, brands will have access to other PGA Tour athletes and authorized trademarks for activations in the Japanese market, including on television broadcasts.
Chris Lee, general manager at PGA Tour Asia Pacific, noted that Kowa has been an avid supporter of golf through its title sponsorship of the Vantelin Tokai Classic on the Japan Golf Tour and the KKTcup Vantelin Ladies Open on the Japan LPGA.
