Pepsi is celebrating its 125th birthday, and ahead of the occasion, it has launched its 125 days of campaign filled with various events. This will run starting this month until December, and one of the anticipated events is the launch of the Pepsi-themed diner in New York City.
Pepsi's 125-day-long commemoration will spotlight the company's iconic moments throughout its history, including the future. WNCT News reported that the beverage and snack manufacturer launched its newest logo and visual identity before the big celebration.
PepsiCo Beverages North America said that the official transition of the company's brand logo will include all touchpoints, such as signage, packaging, equipment, transportation vehicles, and more. It said that this move is "marking the next era" of the brand that has been around for over a century.
The new logo will be applied not only in the United States but around the world in 2024. This means this will be visible on the cans of Pepsi soft drinks and others.
Meanwhile, TimeOut reported that the anniversary will also be celebrated by opening a special diner. The restaurant will showcase all of Pepsi's most famous commercials and will feature extraordinary memorabilia lifted from the brand's archives.
"Pepsi has become an iconic brand over the past 125 years with a rich legacy of challenging the status quo in pursuit of enjoyment - both in the beverage industry and pop culture at large," Pepsico's chief marketing officer, Todd Kaplan, said in a press release. "As we celebrate the brand's historic milestone over the next 125 days, we will honor some of our most cherished cultural moments as we look ahead toward our next chapter with the rollout of the new Pepsi logo and visual identity."
The CMO of the American food and beverage giant added, "The Pepsi 125 Diner will bring the best of Pepsi all together under one roof – from some of our favorite advertisements to our biggest music moments to our rarest product experiences, and so much more – it will truly be a one-of-a-kind immersive experience unlike anything else."
