It would appear that Nintendo is intent on taking things to the next level with the recent reveal of “Pokemon: Sword And Shield” during Nintendo Direct. The event basically caused a meltdown among many fans of the franchise simply due to how adorable the actual critters are. Aside from that, it would seem that the developers have made some changes as to how threatening some Pokemon are.
For just some of the reactions that fans have since expressed on social media following the Nintendo Direct reveal of “Pokemon: Sword And Shield,” Kotaku has quite the list to share. For the most part, it would seem that this iteration of the legendary video game franchise is living up to its name, however, not exactly in the way that many might expect.
There are certainly a ton of Pokemon in “Pokemon: Sword And Shield” that have been revealed to have some sort of relationship with knighthood, blades, and even protection. However, what fans are losing it over the most is the cuddly nature of some critters and the dashing features of others.
Pokemon holding swords in their mouths have also become something of a theme in “Pokemon: Sword And Shield” and the fans are taking to it in droves. It would appear that Nintendo really hit the mark with this iteration of the gaming franchise and gamers are now pumped. They want the title to hit the market soon.
So, when exactly is “Pokemon: Sword And Shield” coming out? Unfortunately, it will not be for a while yet. The release date for the game is Nov. 15, and as expected, it is meant only for the Nintendo Switch. This means that those who want to take advantage of the new Pokemon that will become available will have to invest in the portable console. It’s a worthy purchase anyway, so why not?
