Popeyes has announced the return of its Cajun-style turkey for the 2024 holiday season, offering customers a flavorful, pre-cooked option just in time for Thanksgiving. Priced at $99 for online orders or $54.99 in-store, this seasonal favorite is available while supplies last.
Convenient Cajun-Style Turkeys from Popeyes Return for a Limited Time, Available for Online Delivery or In-Store Purchase
Popeyes, widely celebrated for its crave-worthy fried chicken dishes, including the iconic chicken sandwich, adds a different kind of poultry to its fall lineup. The chain recently announced the return of its famous Cajun-style turkey for the 2024 holiday season. First introduced in 2001, the Cajun-style turkey has become a seasonal favorite, typically returning ahead of Thanksgiving.
According to Eat This, Not That!, for the third year in a row, customers can enjoy the convenience of ordering these turkeys online through the Popeyes website for $99, with delivery straight to their doors. The turkeys are also available at most Popeyes locations for $54.99, though prices and availability may vary by location. Customers are encouraged to contact their local Popeyes to confirm stock and pricing.
Unlike the traditional Thanksgiving practice of roasting a raw turkey, Popeyes' Cajun-style turkey comes pre-cooked, significantly reducing preparation time. Customers only need to thaw the frozen turkey for a few days and reheat it in the oven for about two hours before serving. Weighing between 11 and 13 pounds, the turkey is rubbed with classic Louisiana-style seasonings, delivering the distinctive Popeyes flavor that fans love.
"I've made turkey basically every way you can think of, and my hard-earned piece of wisdom is you can get a turkey from Popeyes for $50, throw it in the oven for a few hours, and end up with a bird better than any you've ever had," one fan shared on X in 2022.
Those eager to secure a Cajun-style Turkey for this year should act quickly, as the offering is only available for a limited time while supplies last. Online orders typically take one to three business days to arrive, and complete instructions for thawing, heating, and serving are available on the Popeyes website.
Popeyes Welcomes Fall with the Return of the Big Box Meal and New Limited-Edition Menu Items
In addition to the return of the Cajun-style turkey, Popeyes has more exciting news for the fall season. Starting November 4, the chain’s popular Big Box meal bundle will return for a limited time. This bundle includes two sides, a buttermilk biscuit, and the customer’s choice of three tenders or two pieces of bone-in-fried chicken.
Earlier this month, Popeyes launched several new limited-edition menu items, including Apple Cranberry Tea, Apple Cranberry Lemonade, and the Ghost Pepper Chicken Sandwich. The sandwich features a buttermilk-battered chicken breast topped with pickles and a spicy Ghost Pepper Sauce on a toasted brioche bun, adding another bold flavor to the Popeyes menu lineup.
