Another teaser for “Rick and Morty” came out recently. However, fans should know by now that this does not necessarily mean a season 4 release date announcement is happening anytime soon. But what are the chances that “Rick and Morty” season 4 will premiere this year?

A 30-second promotional video was released by Adult Swim through the show’s official social media pages. It was only titled “Eternal Loop” and was actually created by the animations studio Cinema Fantasma from Mexico City. Adult Swim has been putting out several teasers since 2018 but not of them really contained substantial information about “Rick and Morty” season 4.
As for the “Rick and Morty” season 4 release date, many reports can only speculate that it is happening sometime this year. A social media post from Bardel Entertainment’s Eric Bofa Nfon led to Inverse’s wild guess that the animated series could premiere sometime in summer.
However, it can also be recalled that “Rick and Morty” voice actor and writer previously said “Rick and Morty” season 4 could be released much later in the year. “They really take their time. I never understood why everybody — all parties, Dan, Justin, and Adult Swim — didn’t get their shit together, and make the show fast. I just don’t get it. It doesn’t make any sense to me. I’m sure they all have their reasons. I know how long this show takes to write, let alone animate. I’d be surprised if there was a fourth season on the air anytime sooner than 2019… late 2019. Get your shit together, you guys. Get it all together, and put it in a backpack,” Ridley said in Detroit Cast (via HotNewHipHop.com).
The first three seasons saw one to two years of hiatus before a new installment is aired. But it is also important to note that “Rick and Morty” season 4 is slated to have up to 70 episodes that explain the much longer period of production.
