Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe 2019: ‘Outlander’ Season 5 Is Hiring Fans to Work on Set; Actress Trolls Co-Star on Twitter

Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe

Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe showcased closeness in new social media post where the latter just made fun of her “Outlander” co-star. The past weekend, the actor went hiking and apparently he ended in a place where he shouldn’t be thus he was trapped.

On Feb. 10, Sam Heughan updated his Instagram with a photo of himself, shirtless. The actor shared that he was trapped in the forest while hiking and he needed help to get out. He wrote on the post, “This was just before I took an “alternate” route down then got trapped in a forest of cacti and eventually arrived on an American Airforce base.”

Sam Heughan went on to say that he could not leave because he does not have an ID at that time. However, he managed to get out of the base with help from a friend.

“I couldn’t leave as I had no ID and shouldn’t be there. Thankfully called an Uber driver who was ex-military (Cheers Brent!) and he got me out!!! Hiking is good for you...when you have a military driver.”

Now, seeing this post, Caitriona Balfe took to Twitter to say what she had in mind about Sam Heughan’s little misadventure. The actress made fun of her “Outlander” co-star by reposting his shirtless photo and writing, “Hey @SamHeughan looks like you’ve lost your clothes and your arm seems to be broken at an unfortunate angle. Are you okay? Need help?? Did someone mug you? And oh, your hat is the wrong way round.” She ended the note with the hashtag #SOSforSam.

The funny social media banter between Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe made fans happy as well because they did not just find it funny but they like the interaction of the two stars. Meanwhile, it was recently announced that “Outlander” season 5 will begin filming soon and the show executives opened an opportunity for fans to work on the set of their favorite show.

Fans can apply for work in various positions including production design, lighting, carpentry, costume design, props, and other production works. Applications started in November and it will run until February so this is the last chance.
