Seungri, the former member of BIG BANG, was already booked for using prostitutes and sending them to potential investors to expand his businesses. In particular, investors of the club Burning Sun were the people being linked to this case.
Now, Seungri has a new charge. According to The Korea Herald, in addition to the procurement of prostitutes, he was also booked for the distribution of secretly taken photos. This charge came after investigations showed that he shared photos of women in his controversial chat rooms on KakaoTalk.
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency affirmed that Seungri distributed explicit pictures of women through posting them on the chat room where fellow singers and his other friends are part of. Earlier, Jung Joon Young has been arrested for this same offense and his case was already forwarded to the Prosecutor’s office and the police recommended for the 30-year-old singer to be indicted for the crime.
As investigations are still ongoing on Seungri’s cases, YG Entertainment is slowly removing traces of the 29-year-old former BIG BANG member from its company profile, official web pages, and social media accounts, New Straits Times reported. The entertainment company has so far taken out Seungri’s items from its merchandise stores.
Further, Seungri’s solo tour’s “The Great Seungri” records and other goods related to it are not on display in any of YG’s offices or store outlets as well. Lastly, the idol singer’s face on BIG BANG’s posters and group photos was also either blurred out or cropped.
Meanwhile, it is apparent that Seungri’s case is getting deeper and the attention of the nations has been directed to him and his friends including Jung Joon Young and former F.T. Island’s Choi Jong Hoon, however, a recent report seems to allege that there are people who were trying to use them to cover up the bigger case involving the death of actress Jang Ja Yeon. An editing expert suggested that Seungri’s chat conversations were manipulated and recreated according to what the storyteller’s malicious intentions.
