When fans read up about the Burning Sun scandal, they will find that at the center of the narrative is former Big Bang member Seungri. As the story grows bigger, Kim Lim’s name got entangled in the controversy. The Singaporean socialite has since issued a statement explaining how this happened and that she is not involved in any of the criminal activities linked to this saga of controversy.
Aside from the Burning Sun establishment, the Arena nightclub has also been linked to the scandal. In separate interviews, Seungri and his lawyer Son Byung Ho mentioned that the incident in question that purportedly happened in Arena involved someone named a “long-time (female) friend” who is also the “daughter of a famous soccer club owner.”
It did not take long before the media made the connection that they were referring to Lim. It then prompted her to share her side through Instagram Story posts. Ultimately, Lim denied having any involvement in the activities being investigated while also admitting that she did go to Club Arena in 2015.
Lim addressed the mentioned interviews of Seungri and Son. She then confirmed going to Club Arena on Dec. 9, 2015, with a group of friends and that Seungri did help them get a VIP table that night.
However, she clarified, “We partied by ourselves and left after. In no way were there other patrons or staff who accompanied our group.” Lim also clarified that she “never asked” for Seungri to assign them “girls to party with.” She then told fans they were “simply at the wrong place and the wrong time.”
Lim reiterated she “had no inkling or idea of the alleged criminal activities going on in Burning Sun, Seungri’s businesses.” The Singaporean socialite then warned any media outlet that will report otherwise could face legal action from her side. Meanwhile, Allkpop recently reported that Seungri already denied that Lim is involved in any way to this scandal.
