NEW YORK and BALTIMORE, April 12, 2016 -- Signal Hill, a leading advisory boutique serving the M&A and private capital raising needs of growth companies, is pleased to announce that Daniel Graves has joined the firm's New York office as a Managing Director. Mr. Graves will join Signal Hill's Sponsor Coverage group and draw on his strong relationships over a long career in the media industry to grow Signal Hill's traditional media practice.
"Dan has a long-established track record of success with media companies and financial sponsors. He has a well-deserved reputation for building and sustaining client relationships, which is the backbone of our business," said Scott Wieler, Chairman and CEO of Signal Hill. "We're excited to have him on board."
"The M&A market for traditional media companies is rapidly evolving. Clients and financial sponsors need advisors that, while maintaining focus on the underlying traditional media business that fuels new media growth, combine the execution capability and transaction experience to deliver results in the current environment," said Mr. Graves. "I'm excited to join the established platform and the growing team at Signal Hill, and look forward to delivering successful outcomes for our clients."
Mr. Graves brings more than 25 years of investment banking expertise to Signal Hill and has executed transactions valued at more than $40 billion on behalf of a broad range of clients. In 2004, Mr. Graves founded Spinnaker Capital Advisors (SCA), an advisory firm focused on the M&A and capital raising needs of middle market media companies. During his 11 years of operating SCA, Mr. Graves participated in more than $650 million of M&A, capital raising and financial advisory transactions. Earlier in his career, Mr. Graves was employed in the media investment banking practices of Deutsche Bank, Merrill Lynch, and Salomon Brothers.
