“Steven Universe Future” episode 17 will be back, but this will be the final airing of the first season. As a gift to the fans, the finale will be longer than usual as Cartoon Network is releasing all four last episodes at the same time.
What to expect
The finale will begin with “Steven Universe Future” episode 17 has been titled “Homeworld Bound,” and as per Fandom, its synopsis reads: “Steven heads to the Diamonds for advice on how to control his new powers.” This will pick up from exactly where the previous “Fragments” episode left off.
This means that the viewers will see Steven feeling down and heading to his room while his friends are getting worried about him. Pearl, Amethyst, and Garnet saw their friend looking so depressed, so they waited for him outside the bathroom. The gems try to figure out what is up with him because they are clearly worried and wanted to help him with whatever he is going through.
But sadly, Steven still won’t open up to them in “Steven Universe Future” season 1 episode 17. They can see that he doesn’t want them to bother him as he continues to push his friends away, so the gems gave him space until Steven used the Warp pad to go back to the Homeworld.
Steven met Spinel, and while there he, turned pink, and he realized that his real identity is that he is a Diamond. He headed to the Homeworld to know more about his powers because he can’t control it and confused about it.
Steven learned that he has lots of vengeful thoughts in him as a Diamond, and that made him hate himself. He asked Spinel how he can get rid of his vengeful feelings and when Spinel started reciting some lines from the song “Change,” Steven couldn’t stand it run away from his family once again in “Steven Universe Future” season 1 episode 17.
Other episode titles and release date
In any case, after the “Homeworld Bound,” “Steven Universe Future” season 1 episode 18, 19, and 20 will immediately follow. These episodes are titled “Everything's Fine,” “I Am My Monster,” and “The Future,” in that order.
“Steven Universe Future” episode 17 will be released on March 27 on Cartoon Network.
