“Stranger Things” season 4 had been confirmed in October last year, and filming has already commenced. However, the production has to be halted due to the COVID-19 crisis, so it is obviously not done yet.
The writers’ update
At this time, filming has not resumed, but the staff did not stop working. From behind the scene, the production team continued to work, and as proof, the writers just revealed today that they had completed the scripts for all the episodes of “Stranger Things” season 4.
On June 19, via Twitter, the Stranger Writers uploaded a photo showing stacks of papers. Its caption confirmed that they are the scripts of “Stranger Things” season 4, and they have finished everything already.
Spoilers - What to expect
The second trailer of “Stranger Things” season 4 was released in February, and it debunked the common belief that Hopper has died in the finale of season 3. This is because the sheriff was shown in the clip, and he appears to have been imprisoned in Russia.
He was shown in a snow-covered place, and he was being watched by soldiers as he works. This is a big twist because everyone thinks that he blew up when The Keys under the Starmall Court was activated at the ending of season 3.
While many fans are rejoicing since Hopper is alive, a new theory cropped up and suggested that this may not really be the Hawkins sheriff. Express reported that the man in Russia could be Jim Hopper’s clone, so he could have really died in the mall.
Then again, it should be noted that this is just a theory and doesn’t necessarily mean that it is correct. The only way to see if this assumption is accurate or not is when “Stranger Things” season 4 is released.
Finally, while fans waiting for the fourth installment, it was confirmed that the series has been renewed for more episodes. The Duffer brothers, the series creators, signed a multi-year film and series deal with Netflix so after “Stranger Things” season 4, more stories are coming our way.
The announcement for the “Stranger Things” season 4 release date may not come soon as it is still uncertain when they would finish filming. The production is still on hold up to now.
