The original “Teen Titans” was one of the most popular properties of Cartoon Network when it aired. After five seasons, the network decided to cancel the show and eventually replaced it with “Teen Titans Go.” However, it was confirmed earlier this year that there was a chance for “Teen Titans” Season 6 to happen. This is if the post-credits scene from the “Teen Titans Go” movie is anything to go by.
For those who might be confused, there are two “Teen Titans” cartoon properties on Cartoon Network. One was the anime-inspired series that ran from 2003 to 2006 and the other is the most recent “Teen Titans Go” reboot. The movie that was based on the reboot recently hit theatres and was received well. However, it was the post-credits scene that hinted a “Teen Titans” Season 6 that really had fans going wild.
It featured the original members of the team in their larger, better art styles. This version of Robin also said that they might have found a way to come back, which serves to reinforce the possibility of a “Teen Titans” Season 6. Since then, everyone has been keeping their lips sealed as to how things were developing on this front. However, Emergency Awesome has an explanation for fans.
Considering that the post-credits scene is the last official hint given out with regards to the prospect of a “Teen Titans” Season 6, fans might want to keep their expectations low. There has been no word on whether animation for the season has even started or if there are even any plans to do so.
As for the possible air date of “Teen Titans” Season 6, nothing has been officially confirmed. This didn’t stop Otaku Art from speculating that it could be on January 2019, though. There is also the possibility that instead of on Cartoon Network, the show could be dropped on the streaming service that DC is setting up.
