“The Curse of Oak Island” season 7 returned on Nov. 5, and it hyped up the show’s fans. This is deemed to be the best installment in the entire series as the Lagina brothers, and their team appears to be getting closer to the elusive Money Pit.
With how the exploration is going, fans are convinced that Rick and Marty, along with their team of experts, will finally be able to shed light on the 224-year-old treasure mystery. The chances that they will finally reveal what is under Oak Island is high because they continue to find items that suggest the rumored treasure is there or, at least, was once buried there.
What’s up next?
“The Curse of Oak Island” season 7 episode 2 has been titled “Core Values,” and more time on the swamp is to be expected because the team found the area really promising. Plus, they need to clarify what they found earlier as seismic testing results found anomaly there believed to be a ship. As everyone agreed that the shape that turned out in the seismic radar looks like a sunken ship, Rick Lagina said that they simply have to “chase it.”
Moreover, Gary Drayton, the metal detection expert, and Charles Barkhouse explored Isaac’s Point located in the eastern part of the island, and they had an amazing discovery there. They unearthed an ancient button that Drayton described as silver with a starburst design. He said that it likely belongs to a high ranking person since people who inhabited the area in the 1700s were largely farmers.
The metal detector expert went on to explain that back then, silver buttons with nice designs are like status symbols. He estimated that this is probably from the era between 1650 to 1750, so it is definitely an amazing find. “The Curse of Oak Island” season 7 episode 2 will share more information about the rarest button they found so far, and it could provide more clues about the mysteries on the island.
The swamp
Meanwhile, the inspection in the swamp will continue in “The Curse of Oak Island” season 7, episode 2, and soil samples will be checked. They found clay suggesting that it is man-made, just like the late Fred Nolan believes. He said it was made to hide the ship that brought the treasures to the island.
Under the water, professional diver Tony Sampson also found something interesting. He discovered a flat rock, and they said it could be a massive platform, and the structure seems to be a man-made road made of stone. They will inspect the stone more in “The Curse of Oak Island” season 7, episode 2.
“The Curse of Oak Island” season 7 episode 2 will air on Nov. 12 on History.
