The newest addition will be an important part of the series, especially in the upcoming story arc. Her appearance will have a direct effect on Tatsuya Shiba.

Avid fans of the franchise already know the new character in “The Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 by her name. She is Angelina Kudou Shields, who was first introduced in the movie “The Irregular at Magic High School: The Girl Who Calls the Stars.”
Said film has an original story not based on the light novel series by Tsutomu Sato. However, it featured several similar themes as the story arc that will be covered in “The Irregular at Magic High School” season 2. One of those commonalities is the introduction of Angelina and the circumstances that will bring her to Japan, specifically in the First High School.
“The Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 will probably begin by showing an experiment gone wrong in the United States of North America. A study on the black hole is mysteriously causing their soldiers to defect and escape to Japan. They will soon connect this anomaly to matter detonation bringing their attention to Tatsuya as the only magician to activate Material Burst.
USNA’s Stars military division, led by Angelina, is then ordered to go after the deserters and kill them. Angelina, on the other hand, will be tasked to spy on Tatsuya and Miyuki Shiba in “The Irregular at Magic High School” season 2. This brings her to Japan posing as a foreign exchange student in First High School.
Aside from the growing conflict directed at Tatsuya because of the matter detonation in “The Irregular at Magic High School” season 2, Angelina will be ordered to kill him by her bosses at the USNA.
