Another controversy backlash for Donald trump.
General Joseph Dunford, the chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff, in a senate armed force hearing bluntly rejected US Republican front runner Donald Trump’s ideas to combat terrorism forces such as Islamic State.
Mr. Trump has suggested several controversial ideas:
- Water boarding, a method of tortured, which was once practiced by CIA, to extract information and target families of terrorists.
- He also suggested that US should kill the families of terrorists, even as it breaches international and US laws.
However, he later made a U turn, saying he wouldn’t ask the military in doing something that breaks US and international laws.
General Dunford rejected the ideas saying that these action not only illegal, if pursued may have adverse effect.
Former head of CIA, Michael Hayden has also expressed concern over Donald Trump’s candidacy. However Mr. Trump is no new to controversies, he even took on Pope, who criticized his ideas as non-Christian.
Several prominent republicans have also teamed up against him, such as John McCain, Mitt Romney, both Republican nominee. Mr. Trump responded to them calling both as failed candidates.
However, whatever the controversies be, his campaign is seeming to be unstoppable, he just needs 564 more candidates to secure his candidacy, which is just about 50% of the remaining candidates.
