San Francisco, CA, June 13, 2017 -- VoiceBase the industry leading provider of speech analytics for the cloud, today announced the company has validated compliance with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS) version 3.2 as a “Level 1” service provider for its PCI Detection & Redaction features.

The completion of PCI DSS Level 1 Certification follows VoiceBase’s announcements in March to Extend its Cloud Contact Center Reach Through Support of Amazon Connect as well as to launch VoiceBase EU to Ensure the Protection of European Customers' Data, showing the company’s commitment to providing the highest level of cloud-based speech analytics services to its customers.
The PCI Data Security Standard requires that any merchant that outsources the transmission, processing, or storage of payment card data to a third party provider verify that the provider adheres to the standard. As a provider of speech analytics services to Service Providers, Hosted PBX companies, Enterprises and Call Centers, VoiceBase has proactively met this requirement for its business in support of the PCI compliance needs of its customers.
“VoiceBase’s completion of the PCI DSS Level 1 certification illustrates our dedication to ensuring that we provide a secure and reliable speech analytics processing environment for our customers’ critical business applications,” said Walter Bachtiger, Founder & CEO VoiceBase. “We process massive amounts of PCI sensitive data across various industries, and are committed to meeting a wide range of regulatory requirements.”
The PCI DSS is a comprehensive set of standards that require merchants and service providers that store, process, or transmit customer payment card data to adhere to strict information security controls and processes. It was created by the founding brands of the PCI Security Standards Council, which includes American Express, Discover Financial, JCB International, MasterCard Worldwide, and Visa Inc. The standard includes twelve requirements of which the goals are to;
- Build and Maintain a Secure Network
- Protect Cardholder Data
- Maintain a Vulnerability Management Program
- Implement Strong Access Control Measures
- Regularly Monitor and Test Networks
- Maintain an Information Security Policy
