US retailer Walmart is apparently selling two Android smartphones at ten dollars each.
ZDNet reports that the incredibly cheap smartphones made by phone maker LG, the LG Sunrise L15G and LG Lucky LG16, can do more than a feature phone as a primary or a backup handset for mobile users. They are even more affordable than Microsoft’s version, the Nokia 105, which is currently selling at USD20.
However, Gizmodo said for people who wish to take up Walmart’s offer, they would have to manage expectations. Both phones are GSM and CDMA versions of the same phone and have no LTE, or front-facing camera for selfies, and do not run on Android Marshmallow. On the other hand, they run Gmail, Chrome and Hangouts plus a simple game or two.
Android Community said that each phone online is being sold at USD9.82, but they would need to pay for shipping unless their total orders online cost USD50 or more.
