“Warcraft 3: Reforged” has only been released for a little over a month, but Blizzard has already released a couple of long patch notes. The latest update v1.32.2, however, will temporarily remove three gameplay maps.
‘Warcraft 3: Reforged’ update: Why Blizzard is removing several gameplay maps
At this point, to say that “Warcraft 3: Reforged” did not have a successful launch would be an understatement. The released patch notes with long lists of issues addressed post-launch could prove that.
“Warcraft 3: Reforged” players are hit with another unfortunate news as the release of patch 1.32.2 will result in the removal of three gameplay maps from the game. It might be the best course to take for Blizzard, though.
Developers have temporarily removed Ruins of Stratholme for 3v3, Banewood Bog LV for 4v4, and Fountain of Manipulation for free-for-all matches. Unfortunately, there was no specific timeline provided on when these maps are going back online. Blizzard only stated, “They may return once the issue has been resolved.” In the patch notes, the developer only mentioned “instability” as the reason for taking them out of the game.
Players have lodged complaints about disconnect issues whenever they access Ruins of Stratholme just a few days after the full version of “Warcraft 3: Reforged” was released. It is very likely that the same issue has been plaguing the other maps prompting Blizzard to remove them from for a while.
‘Warcraft 3: Reforged’ patch 1.32.2 addresses other gameplay issues
There were also several fixes applied to character models through “Warcraft 3: Reforged” v1.32.2. An auto-attack impact sound has been added to Guardian Golem, while the Female Demon Hunter should now metamorphosize into her own model.
Players may have also experienced seeing the Blademaster unaffected by non-magic abilities while its Bladestorm ability is active. This should be addressed in patch 1.32.2. The Succubus Army has also been significantly updated, and they show no longer similar to each other.
It is fair to say that Blizzard still has a long way to go to fully fix “Warcraft 3: Reforged,” but the release of two substantial patches in a little more than a month is a good start. However, many fans would still argue that most of these issues should have been eliminated before the game’s full release.
