Postdoctoral fellow, Flinders University
I'm originally from Germany, where I conducted my undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Osnabrück. In 2010, I moved to Australia to do my Honours on the impact of tourism on bottlenose dolphins in South Australia. After working as a research assistant on different projects in the CEBEL Lab, I conducted my PhD with the BirdLab investigating hybridisation in Darwins tree finches on the Galapagos Archipelago.
In 2018 I was a postdoctoral research fellow investigating the foraging ecology of toothed whales at Massey University, Auckland, New Zealand. I remain affiliated with the Coastal-Marine research Group at Massey as a postdoctoral fellow.
Currently, I am a postdoctoral fellow at the Global Ecology Lab at Flinders University where I use ecological models and the fossil record to investigate palaeo species abundances and extinction dynamics.
