Professor Reed teaches Applied Investment Management (AIM) and Security Analysis. AIM provides students with the opportunity to participate in live portfolio management while developing their financial analysis skills through rigorous, fundamental equity research. Reed was awarded the Rev. Edmund P. Joyce, C.S.C., Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching (2023), the James Dincolo Outstanding Undergraduate Professor Award (2023), and the James Dincolo Outstanding Undergraduate Finance Professor (2018). Reed’s research focuses the integration of behavioral economics in the field of macroeconomics and finance and was awarded the Department of Economics Mendelson Award for Outstanding dissertation (2015).
