‘Beauty and the Beast’ season 4, episode 2 will find Vincent and Cat continuing their search for the predators threatening to expose and capture Vincent.
The synopsis posted on Carter Matt stated, “As Cat (Kristin Kreuk) and Vincent (Jay Ryan) hunt for a black market buyer searching for beasts, they have to protect an heiress whose identity was exposed. Cat and Vincent realize how much they have to lose if Vincent’s true identity is revealed.”
The season’s premiere, released on June 2, opened to Cat and Vincent as newlyweds enjoying their honeymoon but their short-lived peace was interrupted by someone threatening to expose Vincent’s identity. According to Christian Today, the series’ newest villain has employed bounty hunters to take Vincent down and is willing to shell out $5 million for his capture.
It seems that it is up to Vincent and Cat to find the threat first as Vince’s life is on the line. Despite the couple’s desperate efforts of attempting to live a life of normalcy, challenges always seem to be presenting themselves in one way or another.
Kreuk, who plays lead protagonist Catherine Chandler in the series, discussed season 4 during an interview with Zap2It. She revealed that the final season will be an interesting one for Cat and Vincent’s relationship. She said, “Of course, things will go crazy … as they do every year. It’s a really interesting final arc for the two of them, trying to close out all the threats against them so they can just be normal again. There’s someone who’s looking for beasts, and there’s a bounty out there, so figuring that out is what their focus is.”
She added that despite all the drama, the show will continue to have some lighthearted moments saying that her co-star is always ready to bring some humor in since he’s actually a “very funny” guy.
‘Beauty and the Beast’ is a police procedural drama inspired by the 1987 CBS television series of the same name created by Sherri Cooper-Landsman and Jennifer Levin. It has earned accolades and nominations since its premiere on October 2012 including four consecutive wins for the People’s Choice Award from 2013 to 2016.
