The Jacksonville-based national property/casualty insurance retailer selling through a network of franchised independent agencies throughout the country has experienced an annual growth rate of 39 percent since it got its start in 2008.
The company has received recognition from Florida Trend as one of the largest privately held Florida-based companies every year since 2011 making 2017 the seventh year in a row Brightway has made the list. This year, the company ranked #118.
Today, during an awards luncheon, the Jacksonville Business Journal recognized Brightway as one of the Fastest Growing Companies in Northeast Florida for the ninth consecutive year. Brightway is one of only 10 companies the Business Journal named to its Fast 50 list for revenue growth by volume (vs. percentage).
“When we first started out as an Independent Insurance Agency with a few offices in Jacksonville, we decided our concept was not just a local business but rather an idea the market had not realized. So, in 2008, we decided to build a brand around the customer experience and franchise our model,” said Brightway Founder and Chairman David Miller said.
Miller recently garnered recognition when Franchise Business Review named him to its 2017 list of Top Franchises Leaders. He is one of only 41 leaders selected among hundreds of franchise brands.
“By being transparent and aligning business decisions on what is best for the customer and the franchise owner, we’ve realized growth and success that exceeds what we had ever imagined possible,” Miller added. “So far this year, we’ve expanded into five new states and grown annualized written premium by $30 million.”
