Burger King is spicing up its summer menu with the return of its popular Italian BK Royal Crispy Chicken Sandwich. Loved by fans for its crispy chicken fillet slathered in marinara sauce and topped with mozzarella cheese, this coveted dish is back for a limited time while the fast-food giant confidently navigates market uncertainties.
Introduced in late 2022, the Italian BK Royal Crispy Chicken Sandwich was an immediate success, and with good reason. It's a flavor explosion, featuring a crispy chicken fillet smothered in marinara sauce and topped with mozzarella cheese, all nestled between a soft potato bun. The sandwich was so popular that Burger King has decided to bring it back for another limited-time run, joining their "Featured" menu alongside their new spicy chicken nuggets and Frozen Fanta flavor, Kickin' Mango.
The Italian-style chicken sandwich market may be sparse, but Burger King takes the crown. Wendy's even released a similar sandwich in 2022, but it since has vanished from menus. So, hurry on into a BK near you if you want to experience this flavor sensation.
The Italian BK Royal Crispy Chicken Sandwich is available as an individual entrée or as part of a combo meal, and it's unclear when it will disappear again. So, if you're craving saucy, cheesy, crispy goodness, head to Burger King soon, where "You Rule."
Alongside menu changes, Burger King has been actively addressing its restaurant lineup in the U.S. Although one major franchisee experienced bankruptcy, RBI CEO Josh Kobza remains confident that it will not significantly impact the chain's overall U.S. growth.
However, the CEO emphasized that these plans could change, saying, it's important to note that there is still a fair degree of uncertainty regarding the exact numbers and that the pace of recovery in the business, which they've already begun to see, will also play a role. Engaging with the challenges but remaining optimistic, Burger King is committed to navigating potential closures while maintaining growth in the U.S. market.
