The Cleveland Cavaliers continued their unprecedented winning streak Thursday night, defeating the Golden State Warriors 136-117 to start the season 10-0. The Cavaliers, led by Darius Garland’s 27 points, made NBA history as the first team to score 110+ points and win each of their first ten games.
Cavaliers Make NBA History with High-Scoring Start and Record-Breaking Halftime Lead
On November 8, the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Golden State Warriors 136-117, extending their franchise-best start to 10-0 this season. Darius Garland scored 27 points, and Evan Mobley scored 23, per ESPN.
The Cavaliers became the first team in NBA history to score at least 110 points in each of their first ten games and win them all. Nine had previously shared the milestone with Wilt Chamberlain and the Philadelphia Warriors in 1960–61.
Cleveland also tied their record for most points in a half and set a franchise record with a 41-point halftime advantage at 83-42, which tied the eighth-largest in the NBA's shot clock era. Of his 20 points before the half, 13 came from Ty Jerome.
Golden State suffered their first loss in six away games this season, led by Jonathan Kuminga's 21 points and Stephen Curry's 12 points and six turnovers. Draymond Green finished with four fouls, six assists, and six points.

Cavaliers: Despite All-Star shooting guard Donovan Mitchell only scoring 12 points on a stormy night, the NBA's top-scoring team didn't let it get away with it. He made four turnovers and missed nine of his 13 field goal tries.

With two 3-pointers by Garland and six points from Mobley, the Cavaliers took a 20-2 lead. In the opening 5:39, Green was given two fouls, and Golden State missed eight of its first nine field goal tries.
It was the twenty-first occasion in NBA history that a club with a perfect road record faced an unbeaten home team, with each team playing at least four games. The score at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse is presently 5-0 for Cleveland.
The Warriors will travel to Oklahoma City on November 10, and the Cavaliers will host Brooklyn on November 9.
