In an astonishing breach, a thief in Atlanta shattered the ‘shatter-proof’ glass of a Tesla Cybertruck and made off with a bag while the vehicle failed to notify its owner of the crime.
Cybertruck Heist Shocks Atlanta
In Atlanta, Georgia, a criminal was able to break into the extremely secure Tesla Cybertruck with only a little bit of time and effort.
In spite of the fact that Tesla and its supporters frequently boast about how secure and impenetrable the Cybertruck is, a sly thief demonstrated that they were completely wrong.
Shatter-Proof Glass Easily Broken
After he pried open one window, he peeled open the "shatter-proof glass" to reveal the inside. The Cybertruck did not notify the owner of the break-in despite the fact that it had been breached without permission.
“No Alarm, No Notifications to my phone… literally nothing happened just found it like this…..” A post was made by Anuj Thakker, the owner of Cybertruck, on a Facebook group dedicated for the Tesla's EV pickup.
A red Nissan Altima pulled up alongside him in the video he shared, which was captured by one of the Cybertruck's cameras. The thief exits the vehicle through the passenger door, then proceeds to peel the window down after poking it open just a little bit. He then leans out the window and retrieves a bag. Returning to the Nissan, he subsequently speeds off.
Additionally, Thakker said, “That can’t be right. Anyone know why there is no alarm system?”
Cybertruck’s Security Under Fire
According to Jalopnik, it is certainly a little bit concerning that a vehicle that was promoted on safety and security, such as the Cybertruck, which had a variety of security systems, alarms, and cameras, would not notify its owner of a very obvious break-in.
Furthermore, the fact that the glass might be shattered and broken so quickly is another thing that is a bit concerning.
