Donald Trump recently called U.S. representative Adam Schiff “mentally deranged.” However, his comments did not sit well with some netizens.
On his Twitter account, the POTUS claimed that Schiff was blasted for not focusing on the homeless in California. He also accused Schiff’s district of being in terrible shape.
“He is a corrupt pol who only dreams of the Impeachment Hoax. In my opinion, he is mentally deranged,” Trump tweeted.
However, the POTUS was lambasted for seemingly spreading hate. Some of his critics also fired back by saying that he’s actually the one who’s mentally deranged and not Schiff.
“In my opinion, you are mentally deranged,” Twitter user @DrStansbury said.
“In California, people think you are mentally deranged. In their opinion, however, it would be nice to see what Bolton has to say about mental derangement. He is a first-hand witness, right?” Twitter user @skirmion said.
“Donald Trump is nothing but a divider-in-chief. Has to attack his political opponents. He has to inspire hate. He has to create distrust in the government. This is what demagogues do to fear-monger for votes. Not one cross-aisle unifying policy. The administration is a total farce,” Twitter user @ChrisJZullo said.
“You said Schiff is mentally deranged? That is what your father was and that is what you’re now with your frontotemporal dementia (FTD). Why do you slur? Why do you sniffle like a sniffling machine? Get a neurological evaluation at Mayo Clinic and apologize to Chairman Adam Schiff,” Twitter user @HubertTemba said.
Meanwhile, this isn’t the first time that Trump was lambasted by some netizens on social media. Earlier this week, he also shockingly called for the impeachment of Barack Obama for allegedly lying about Obamacare.
During this week’s rally in Iowa, Melania Trump’s husband talked about the ongoing impeachment proceedings.
“They want to nullify your ballots, poison our democracy and overthrow the entire system of government. That’s not happening,” he said.
Trump also reportedly turned his impeachment proceedings into a punchline, and he received loud cheers and applause from the crowds because of it. He recalled the times that Obama said that if someone likes their doctor, they should be able to keep the physician.
“Twenty-eight times he lied. We should impeach him!” he said.
Obama’s healthcare reform plan became law in 2010. The main goal of the law is to lower the healthcare costs and improve the quality of life for those who can’t get health insurance from their jobs.
